Unlike our analogue cables, which all use an unshielded woven configuration, the Digital Dream has a pure silver core and silver-plated shielding. This configuration is necessary for S/PDIF digital leads and enables a true 75 Ohm impedance, which optimizes it for digital use.  Deep Cryogenic
Treatment (DCT) is the treatment of materials at extremely low temperatures,
around -190˚C over an accurately measured, period of
time. The process is able to change the electrical characteristics of the
conductor allowing the signal to flow more freely producing a more efficient
conductor. This involves a slow cooling of the material to the desired
temperature where it is held for a period of time (called the ‘soak’ time). The
temperature is then carefully increased back to normal. This time frame is often
called a ‘recipe’ and is a well kept secret.We use the UK's leading provider of DCT, Frozen Solid Audio (their process is far superior to most other so-called "DCT experts"). The subjective result is extra purity of tone, gains in transparency and low-level information and an enhanced sense of musical flow.
