Four high-purity solid silver conductors, arranged in double-balanced four conductor Litz braid, insulated with Teflon® and terminated with very high quality heavily silver-plated RCA plugs (superior to gold-plating, due to the higher conductivity of silver). Deep Cryogenic
Treatment (DCT) is the treatment of materials at extremely low temperatures,
around -190˚C over an accurately measured, period of
time. The process is able to change the electrical characteristics of the
conductor allowing the signal to flow more freely producing a more efficient
conductor. This involves a slow cooling of the material to the desired
temperature where it is held for a period of time (called the ‘soak’ time). The
temperature is then carefully increased back to normal. This time frame is often
called a ‘recipe’ and is a well kept secret.
